A Message from Byron Bazaar A New Community Initiative
Posted by Byron Movement on 2012-06-12 16:42:46.0

Saturdays are the day to be at the Byron Community Centre from 9:30am to 2pm as the ‘Byron’s Bazaar on Saturday’ hosts a diverse and growing range of stalls and kids activities.

The Bazaar’s coordinator Joel Orchard says “The Bazaar is an open marketplace for the whole Community, we are giving access to everyone to be able to come and sell there wears, display their crafts or pass on their surplus.”

The Bazaar’s main advantages are that is all under cover and the Community Centre covers everyones insurance needs.  The Bazaar is a simple and easy solution for anyone wanting to host a Byron central garage sale, farm gate stall, used goods or craft stall. The Bazaar offers an opportunity for really casual, impromptu stall holders and of course regulars.

“We are wanting to maintain the original flea market theme, it’s a simple and easy solution for people wanted to pass on the unwanted stuff and handy crafts – anything goes!  Bryon is such a creative area and we are wanting to make another creative outlet for people to share their skills and interests…. With the Café on site, the Community Centre has always been a great place for people to gather and now with the Bazaar we want to engage the Community on another level.”

Bring your kids and come check out the Byron Community Centre’s new Kid Around program while your there.  www.byroncentre.com.au

Market stalls are $15 and we are encouraging all new stall holders, interested home growers, buskers, artists and creative people to contact bazaar@byroncentre.com.au for more details.  We also have opportunities fro charity and community groups to host free info tables.

See you at the Bazaar.
